From the Photographer
I was born in Philadelphia, Pa in March 1950. I was always taking
pictures. In 1968 when the country was at war in Southeast Asia I was able to capture my first combat photography from the
Marine’s point of view. Later I transferred to the Naval Service and continued to photograph the Pacific Ports
of Call. This was a wonderful experience.
After retirement from the Navy I received my formal Photography training at Grossmont College
in El Cajon, CA.
Currently I am a Photographer for our local news paper SAN DIEGO NEWS LINK.
If you would like to see some of my work I am one of the featured artist
at Springfield College, San Diego Campus, Art Gallery; Expressions & Dimensions of Black Art. The exhibit will run from
February 25, 2006 thru April 23, 2006. The Collection I have submitting is called: Vantage Point In BLACK and WHITE.
All prints were done using Silver Gelatin Print at the Grossmont College Photo Lab in
2002 thru 2004.
Both intimate and thought provoking the prints gives you a selective Vantage Point of the Q., The International
Border,
A Morning View and Time past; playing with light of day to capture a feeling of stopping time it’s self !
